Project Overview

2M Creative assisted in the delivery of the Thailand Pavilion at AIME 2011, providing design development, construction coordination and technical delivery for one of the event’s most visually striking exhibition environments.

Designed to promote Thailand as a world-class tourism destination, the pavilion combined strong destination branding with welcoming meeting spaces and immersive visual elements, creating an engaging environment for industry professionals and international visitors.

The defining feature of the pavilion was a spectacular suspended canopy composed of golden diamond-shaped elements that floated above and around the stand. Acting as both a sculptural centrepiece and a powerful wayfinding element, the canopy created a highly recognisable presence within the exhibition hall and attracted attention from across the show floor. The layered arrangement of suspended forms introduced a sense of movement, depth and visual richness, helping to reinforce the premium nature of the Thailand tourism brand.

Beneath the canopy, custom-built exhibition structures, branded environments and meeting zones were carefully integrated to support business engagement while maintaining a cohesive architectural language throughout the pavilion. The combination of bespoke fabrication, feature graphics and coordinated finishes delivered a polished and highly memorable exhibition experience.

The project also involved the coordination of technical infrastructure including overhead rigging, lighting and power services required to support the suspended feature elements and broader pavilion environment. Through careful planning and execution, the various design, construction and technical components were seamlessly integrated to achieve a successful outcome.

The completed pavilion delivered a bold and sophisticated destination showcase that stood out within the AIME exhibition environment, successfully combining architectural impact, technical execution and strong tourism branding to create a memorable visitor experience.
